Apple Store Briarwood Leopard Trip
Shane Pransky and I drove up to Ann Arbor this evening to stand in line with about 200 other Apple folk in order to be the first people to purchase Mac OS X Leopard.
iPhone Impressions and Pictures
Well, after 3 years of rumors, and over 4 hours of waiting and roasting in the hot sun dehydrating (couldn't the AT&T store have had some water for the 60+ people baking outside of their store on Monroe street?), I got my iPhone. Having successfully dodged AT&T's attempts to upsell me on services that I neither wanted, or needed, I headed home to unpack the phone.
New Attendance Record Again!
Our March 13th meeting featured photographer Eric Eggly from Point Seven Studios ( http://pointsevenstudios.com ). Eric "wow'd" all of us with an impressive presentation that covered in depth looks at iPhoto and Adobe Lightroom. The meeting set a new attendance record bringing in 26 attendees to the Perrysburg Beaners. Thank you to Eric for an incredible presentation, and thank you to all of the members who attended the event.
Expo Event Most Attended MUG Meeting Ever!
The Black Swamp MUG MacWorld Expo Event held at Beaners on January 9th, 2007 was our best attended meeting ever. Over 20 Mac users showed up for a quick Expo presention by Chris Hamady, followed up by a lively discussion that dealt with subjects such as the iPhone, the Apple TV, video formats, media center Macs, and many others (check the Mac FAQ for answers to many of your questions). John Mansel-Pleydell debuted the new website. After the meeting, a number of MUG members went next door to BW3 for wings. Good times! Thank you to everyone who attended.
